Re: Friday handover

Please change the proposed Friday handover to 5:00 pm rather than 6:00 pm.

Keep the revised parenting proposal internal until we review it together at Thursday’s conference.

I will send the latest bank statement separately.

What comes forward A proposed time change, a hold on circulation and a document still to come.

What stays connected The original correspondence and the matter it concerns.

Tools and availability

Microsoft 365 first.
More of your practice in view.

These are the connection workflows documented for NISI’s initial offering. Firm access and enabled actions depend on the connection configured for your practice.

Microsoft 365

Early-access workflow
Outlook MailInbox and sent correspondenceEarly-access workflow
Supplies
Correspondence and attachments that help establish what changed, who said it and what needs attention.
Access
An authorized Microsoft work-account connection and mailbox access within the agreed setup.
Supported scope
Mail intake and matter context from inbox and sent mail. A prepared response is separate from permission to send it.
Outlook CalendarEvents and preparation contextEarly-access workflow
Supplies
Connected events that put upcoming conferences and other dates beside the matter work.
Access
Authorized access to the Microsoft calendar selected for your practice.
Supported scope
Calendar intake and preparation context. Creating or changing an event requires an enabled action and authorization; the website example only reads an existing event.
OneDriveMatter documentsEarly-access workflow
Supplies
Documents from the connected file source, available alongside correspondence and instructions.
Access
An authorized Microsoft connection with access to the selected files or folders.
Supported scope
Document intake and reading. File format, readability and the enabled filing path affect what can be used or saved.
SharePointShared firm filesEarly-access workflow
Supplies
Documents held in the firm’s connected SharePoint source.
Access
Authorization for the SharePoint sites or libraries included in your setup.
Supported scope
Connected document intake and reading within that access. Broader library access or writeback is not implied.

Practice context

CosmoLexThe matters already in your practiceRead-only connection
Supplies
Matter-list and related client context.
Access
An authorized CosmoLex connection configured for the practice.
Supported scope
Read-only matter-list intake. This does not imply accounting, trust-ledger access or writeback.
PLAUDRecorded-call contextSetup-dependent
Supplies
Recorded-call material for the matter’s source record.
Access
The supported account, permissions and intake method need to be established for the specific setup.
Supported scope
A recorded-call intake workflow is documented. Universal device support, automatic recording and a direct connection for every account are not established.

More connections, clearly marked.

These direct connections are planned. A file imported from another tool is a document source, not a native integration with that provider.

A few things to know.

Useful context before you connect a practice.

All connection questions
Do I have to upload every document?

No. Connected email and file sources are intended to bring material into the matter workflow. Direct upload is there when you need to add something yourself. A source still needs to be accessible and readable before it can support the work.

Does connecting Outlook let NISI send messages?

Reading correspondence, preparing a reply and sending it are different actions. Connection access and enabled actions determine the available scope. Preparing a draft does not itself authorize external communication.

Can I connect Google or a meeting recorder?

Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Teams and Zoom direct integrations are planned. PLAUD recorded-call intake is documented, with setup-dependent availability. A supported transcript file can be added as a document without implying a native connection to the recording service.

All the way through.

The connection is the beginning. See what needs counsel, then inspect the work prepared around the decision.
